Let’s nourish our communities with sustainable leadership

GUILFORD-As a dedicated member of our community, Zon Eastes has consistently demonstrated his commitment to serving the needs of our towns. His experience, integrity, and vision make him the ideal candidate to represent us.

While Zon has given a plethora of volunteer hours serving our community on the Guilford Selectboard, his opponent has cost our community a near immeasurable amount.

Assumptions of malicious intent have cost us trust in one another. Frivolous lawsuits against the Selectboard - all of which were dismissed at every level - have cost us a substantial increase in town legal fees. What used to be an annual budget of $5,000 now sits at $60,000.

Uncivil behavior toward public servants has cost us shame, apprehension, and town tension. Running as a candidate in a party with which one's worldview and values don't align in an attempt to knock out your competitor costs us more town friction.

I'm uninterested in putting any more money, time, or town effort into these negative tantrums. Let's put our collective focus on nourishing our communities with sustainable leadership that will amplify the many positive aspects about our beloved towns.
