Economic development planners seek submissions of project priorities

BRATTLEBORO-The Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation (BDCC) and Bennington County Regional Commission (BCRC) are jointly announcing the 2025 call for project submissions for inclusion in the Southern Vermont Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) and Regional Priority Project (RPP) lists.

The project intake portal is open for submissions, with an initial deadline of Friday, Sept. 5, for CEDS project consideration. As part of a streamlined process, all RPP projects must first be submitted through the CEDS portal. Every RPP submission will automatically be considered for inclusion in the CEDS.

Those seeking RPP designation will then have until Sept. 19. to submit additional materials, including financial documentation and implementation details.

The CEDS is a federally recognized economic development strategy that supports long-term regional planning and alignment with funding opportunities. CEDS projects help to implement the CEDS objectives. RPPs are implementation-ready projects prioritized for state and federal funding consideration, including support from the Northern Border Regional Commission (NBRC). BDCC and BCRC strongly encourage dual submissions when appropriate.

The submission form and full instructions will be available at sovermontzone.com/ceds-rpp-project-submission. Municipalities, nonprofits, educational institutions, and private businesses are encouraged to submit projects that contribute to southern Vermont's economic future.
